Creating QR Codes

⚠️ Before you begin

  • Never use 3rd party web applications or trial services to generate QR codes.
    • A basic QR feature is built into several modern browsers.
    • QR codes created with trial services can expire or redirect users to unintended pages
    • QR codes generated from unknown sources could pose a security risk or get blocked by our network.
  • Always include the full address represented by the QR code in your printed material.
  • QR codes linking to public ECU websites may be shared publicly.
    • Treat publishing a QR code the same as publishing the underlying URL
    • For large-scale campaigns or resource-intensive/e-commerce applications, confirm the destination is appropriate for broad public access.
