Try out key of out-of-box automation features in Microsoft 365 before exploring more advanced capabilities in PowerAutomate or TeamDynamix.

SharePoint / Teams

  • Request a document approval sign-off
  • Set a reminder flow to keep documents up to date

How to create a document approval workflow in SharePoint / Teams

 

Instructions

Step 1:

Expand the '...' next to any SharePoint or Teams document, then click Automate \ Request sign-off

This feature is not available for files stored in your personal OneDrive space.

Step 2:

Review the required app connections and click Create Flow.

 

If any items are missing a green check mark click on the blue Create button to establish a valid connection.

 

Step 3:

Specify one or more people to approve and include a message that explains your context. 

 

Step 4:

Wait for approval. 

The document will be marked approved once the first person responds.

Step 5:

Register approval directly from the email notice or from Microsoft Teams.

How to let Teams transcribe your meeting notes

CAUTION

  • verbally warn your meeting participants before you begin transcribing
  • transcription services may not attribute comments to the correct speaker, or may list speakers as 'Speaker 1, Speaker 2'
  • AI-enabled recap features are not available at ECU
