You’ll need a modern smartphone during your program to set up two-factor authentication (2FA) and access campus services. Make sure the phone you choose can run the Microsoft Authenticator app—this is required for secure login.
- Why? It’s the simplest and most secure 2FA method, fully supported by IT Services.
- Compatible devices: Most newer phones running iOS, Android, or Windows.

CAUTION - Avoid Huawae, Oppo, and phones running ColorOS as they may not work with Microsoft Authenticator and/or campus Wi-Fi.

Most students will use Adobe Creative Cloud software during their time at ECU. The All Apps - Pro Edition - Students license comes with 100 GB of cloud storage plus web, mobile and desktop apps (e.g., Photoshop, After Effects).
How to pay for Adobe Creative Cloud

| Step 1: Provide consent in MyEC |
To begin accessing your ECU Adobe Suite, you must first give your Adobe consent.
- This allows ECU to disclose your ECU email address to Adobe.
- Under Academic Profile, click on Adobe Consent.
- You will gain access within 1-2 business days.

| Step 2: Pay the Adobe fee |
The way you pay for Adobe varies by your degree, certificate program, or course.

| Step 3: Install Creative Cloud on your computer(s) |
Once your account is ready, you receive an email from Adobe with “Access Granted”.
- Install the Creative Cloud desktop app on up to (2) personal devices.
- Sign in using your ECU credentials.
- If Adobe does not activate, sign out and then back in again before creating a ticket with IT Services.

Creative Cloud is available in all campus labs, classrooms and on loaned laptops.

Step 1: Submit a home use software request.
- Indicate how long you require access.
- Provide consent for ECU to disclose your ECU email address to Adobe.
- You will receive payment instructions by email.

Step 2: Pay the $110 or $220 Adobe fee
- Once payment has been collected, ITS will set up your ECU Adobe account.
- Payments made between January 1 - August 31:
- $110 for access up to August 31
- Payments made between September 1 - December 31:
- $220 for access up to August 31

Additionally, students can access an ecoystem of industry standard, integrated apps that support teaching and learning:
- Communication tools (Outlook email + calendar, Teams videoconferencing + instant message).
- Storage and collaboration tools (Onedrive, Teams + SharePoint).
- Desktop, web and mobile apps (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
