IT Services provides full support for Microsoft Authenticator App and we strongly recommend that download it for free from your device's app store

  • The Microsoft app is 100% free. Please take care that you download the correct app (as shown above), and not one of the similar-looking authenticator apps that is not free.
  • Microsoft is phasing out support for SMS authentication as of Sept 15th, 2023
  • Staff and faculty who cannot use a phone should contact IT Services to get set up with an alternate method
  • Microsoft Authenticator requires iOS 14.0 or later (available for iPhone 6 and above) or Andriod 6.0 or later. If your Apple or Android phone doesn't meet the standard to install please Create a Ticket from the top of this page to discuss alternatives.
  • If you would like to use an alternative authenticator app (e.g. Google) click I want to use a different authenticator app, but note that IT Services can only provide limited support for this option
  • If you are a student and do not have a phone, please Create a Ticket from the top of this page to discuss alternatives.

Step 11 (Optional): To add a secondary method, click Add method and enter the method details as prompted.

It is recommended that you add another method for back-up purposes if your default method is unavailable. For example, if you were to replace your mobile phone and you forget to register your new phone prior to disposing of the old phone, you would need to use your back-up method.
