Corporate Mobile Phones at Emily Carr University of Art + Design

Corporate mobile phone plans are provided by Rogers. The plans are available to faculty and staff with the agreement of their department to cover the cost of the mobile phone and plan.
 
How to place an order:
Please submit a request in TDX. Corporate Plans must be authorized by the department’s budget officer.
 
Requirements to enroll in the Corporate Mobility Phone Plan:

1. Employees MUST submit a request in TDX.
2. The manager approves the request based on departmental requirements and budget.
3. The department’s business officer submits the GL code for additional funds. (For instance, the current managed devices we have available for distribution has no additional cost required by the business unit. However, under exempt circumstances, if the requester asks for a phone that is not part of the devices that are available for distribution, such as the iPhone 15 pro max, there will be an additional charges to the business unit. The business unit then provides ITS with a GL code to cover the additional charges to procure the phone.)
4. The final approval is provided by the VP of Finance (Mark) or the CIO (Sandeep).

Option 1: Mobile Plan Details - $45/month + tax on a 3-year contract 

Emily Carr University’s corporate plan on Rogers Network includes:

• Unlimited Voice & Data (25GB) – North America LD minutes
• Unlimited International Text/Pic/Video Messages
• Call Display w/ Name Display
• Enhanced Voicemail

 
Option 2: Voice Only Plan - $20/month + tax

Please note that your department does save money as the monthly phone plan costs are deducted from ITS Infrastructure’s GL code if subscribers do not incur roaming charges. If roaming charges occur for subscribers, if it is for ECU work use, such as attending a conference, then the charges would not need to be paid back to the university. If the subscriber incurs roaming charges while on vacation, the subscriber would be subject to reimbursement to ECU.
 
Additionally, if phone requester are provided devices that are available for distribution, no additional charges will be applied to the business unit.
