Eligibility
Students can apply for the graduating exhibition in their final year of their Undergraduate or Graduate degree program having completed all senior studio credits. The in-person exhibition will be on Level 1 and Level 2 of the Emily Carr University Campus.
- Students submitting work to the Reading Room and DM Screenings do not need to complete this form
- Every student can submit one project for the physical grad show
Support Areas
Service Desk support for grad show activities include:
- General approval of the exhibition proposal
- Safe installation assistance and approvals (e.g. heights & heavy weights)
- Allocating installation equipment (e.g. projectors, computers)

Response & Resolution Time
We will respond to submissions within 2-3 weeks after the submission deadline and by April 20th at the latest. Resolution time depends on the request.
Once a student has submitted a Grad Show application they will receive a ticket notification. Students can then reply to these at any time if they have further questions or updates about the proposal.
Exhibition Support Furniture
Exhibition furniture for design students: please see the preview of furniture supports that are available below or on the second floor atrium by the Reliance Theatre (starting March 14th). Most design projects will use the exhibition furniture, which is assigned by the curatorial team. It is possible to mention any specific needs and preferences for exhibition support in the application form.
Supports for other degrees: Every exhibiting student is responsible for their exhibition support furniture. Please note that the university has a limited amount of support and display furniture such as plinths and display cases (more information can be found in the application form). If there are technical questions about individual projects and exhibition support, students are asked to contact the area technicians (Design Shop: designwoodshop@ecuad.ca /Stretchers and Surfaces Shop: C4260@ecuad.ca) or the Show team (theshow@ecuad.ca).
