Emily Carr University supports lifelong learning and professional development for employees.
Permanent, temporary, and retired ECU employees may request to register for a Continuing Studies (CS) course without tuition payment, subject to the conditions outlined below.
Eligibility and Conditions
ECU employee registration is supported when:
- Minimum enrolment for the course has been met
- Seats remain available
Priority for course registration is given to full-fee-paying students. Please refer to ECU Policy 8.5 – Employee Tuition Fees for full details.
As a Continuing Studies student, you are expected to:
- Attend and participate in all scheduled classes and activities
- Complete required assignments
- Receive a grade recorded in your Colleague student profile
Processing and Timing
To support timely processing, please note the following:
- Submit this request as early as possible
- Confirm your interest at least two business days before the course start date
- If seats are available, registration will be completed one business day before the course begins
Registration requests received after this window may not be accommodated.
