Accredible Digital Credential Opt-Out

About Digital Badges

When you successfully complete a micro-credential course, you may receive a digital Skills Badge. Digital badges can be shared online (like LinkedIn) to highlight your learning and skills.

Emily Carr University issues digital badges through Accredible, a full service third-party digital credentialing solution.

Privacy and Information Sharing

All personal information is collected by Emily Carr University of Art and Design (ECU) under the authority of Section 26(c) of the British Columbia Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act, R.S.B.C. 1996, c.165.

For Continuing Studies courses that lead to digital credentials, ECU shares the following information with Accredible after successful course completion:

  • Name
  • Email address
  • Student ID number

Opting Out of a Digital Badge

If you do not want to receive a digital badge through Accredible, you may OPT OUT by submitting this form.

Submitting this request will apply to all eligible Continuing Studies courses and programs going forward. Once submitted, digital badges will not be issued for future course completions unless you notify us that you with to change your preference.

If you later decide you would like to receive digital badges, you can contact Continuing Studies to update your preferences.
