Can't Sign Into Service Desk?

Possible Causes

You may have limited access to this site

If you do not currently work or study at ECU you will not be able to sign in.

Solutions

  • Our public request forms do not require you to sign in (e.g., Alumni Digital Services).
    • Include an email and phone number when submitting.
    • Expect and respond to email notices related to your request.
  • See our many Knowledge Base articles that do not require sign-in.

2-Factor Authentication (2FA) + Password Issues

Service Desk uses the same credentials as most systems at ECU. If you are experiencing issues with 2FA or have forgotten your username or password, this will impact your ability to sign in.

Solutions

  • See our Knowledge Base articles for help with 2-Factor Authentication (2FA) as well as password and username recovery.
  • Create a ticket if you require more assistance.

'Access Denied' error when signing into Service Desk

You may have another username with Emily Carr - created either to access certain systems, or because you requested it be changed in the past.  One username may have hyphens or extra numbers (e.g. you must type ecarr123@ecuad.ca to access one service, but use emily-carr@ecuad.ca to access another).

Solutions

  • Try any other username that you can recall.
  • Create a ticket if you require more assistance.
